Nikki is a Deputy Manager for Stony Stratford based Adorable Nurseries and is running for Milton Keynes Marathon in May. Here she tells us what has motivated her to take on the challenge.
Every patient at Milton Keynes Hospital will receive a present during their stay this Christmas thanks to the generosity of the local community.
As a result of the Milton Keynes Hospital Charity’s Give a Gift campaign, more than 600 presents have been collected, wrapped and delivered to wards and departments across the hospital. Staff will then hand the presents out to patients of all ages on Christmas Day.
Leo’s appeal – the fundraising appeal for the children’s wards – has roared to success this week after meeting its £200,000 target.
Milton Keynes Hospital Charity launched the appeal in September 2013 to raise funds for environmental enhancements and new play equipment for the children’s wards at Milton Keynes Hospital.
We have partnered with Intu Milton Keynes to help make the festive season a happy time for those in hospital. Christmas can be a difficult time for those too poorly to go home, so we have launched the generosity tree to help spread the Christmas cheer. Donating to the generosity tree is simple, visit the Customer Information Desk (next to Debenhams), select an age group you would like to donate to, purchase a present and bring it back to the desk.
