Dr Shoma Banerjee

Consultant Rheumatologist - MBBS, MRCP

Dr Banerjee graduated from St.George’s Hospital Medical School in 2006. Dr Banerjee then trained in rheumatology through the Oxford Deanery, having had placements at the Buckinghamshire NHS Trust, Wexham Park Hospital, Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre and Great Western Hospital as well having undertaken a LAT post at St.Mary’s Hospital on the Isle of Wight.

Dr Banerjee has interests including the whole scope of rheumatic diseases and is currently developing dedicated clinics in osteoporosis and joint injections which will lend itself very well to training and teaching. 

Dr Banerjee makes a regular commitment to teaching first year students clinical skills and plans to develop this position into a formal role. She is working towards obtaining the Diploma in Occupational Medicine with a view to developing a further sub-specialty interest in Occupational medicine in those with rheumatic diseases.
